Dear students, alumni, and friends of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese Studies,
This Spring/Summer 2023 Newsletter features a long list of achievements by our undergraduate and graduate students, all of whom were recognized during the SPS Awards Ceremony held on April 27. The other pieces in this Newsletter highlight the work of the undergraduate students in our Spanish Internship program, the scholarly accomplishments of some of our faculty, the professional development opportunities available to our graduate students, and the career of an esteemed colleague who is retiring from UF after 28 years of dedicated service. Lastly, let me thank all of you who contributed to the Spanish and Portuguese Fund during the Gator Nation Giving Day back in February —your gifts will help a new cohort of students realize their goals.
