The Organization of Graduate Students in Spanish and Portuguese Studies at UF is dedicated to celebrating and promoting the languages and cultures of Spain and Latin America within our community. OEGE serves as a bridge between graduate students and faculty in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese Studies, fostering communication, organizing academic and cultural events, and offering a social outlet for those passionate about Hispanic and Latin American cultures.
This year, we proudly introduce our new OEGE leadership:

Guada is a first-year M.A. student in Hispanic Literature from Argentina. She holds a B.A. in English and Spanish translation from Universidad Nacional de Cuyo and has studied at Europa-Universität Flensburg in Germany, where she worked with English literature, cinema, and the German language. Guada’s research interests focus on female horror literature in Latin America and its cultural translation into English, with a keen interest in feminism and human rights.
Daniella Conde (Vice President)
Daniella, or Dani, is a second-year M.A. student in Hispanic Linguistics and also a Double Gator, with a B.A. in English and a minor in Spanish. Born and raised in Miami, FL, Dani is Cuban-American and explores research areas like heritage language acquisition, raciolinguistics, translanguaging, and “Miami English.” She loves listening to music (especially Taylor Swift), going to concerts, trying out new coffee shops, writing, and practicing yoga.
