Why study in Seville?

Seville (pop. 700,000) is the capital city of the Andalusian region of Southern Spain, lying along the Guadalquivir River. This great city was built by Romans who appreciated its beautiful location and pleasant weather. Barrio Santa Cruz, the old part of Seville, is a labyrinth of passages, small squares, and narrow streets, characterized by quaint, lime-washed houses with flowering plants draping their balconies or patios. Seville is best known for its dramatic landscape, including vast fields of olive trees, endless orange groves, and Moorish palms. With a clear, deep blue sky, the impressive and historic Guadalquivir River, and a flat terrain, Seville offers the spectator a striking interplay of picturesque views, which explains why it is sometimes called “the city of reflections”.
